The tradition of holiday tree
The tradition of Christmas tree has its beginning in Germany. In the 16th century devout Germans brought into their houses the decked trees. Some was built Christmas pyramids and then decked them with lights and evergreens. Candles was added to a holiday tree by Martin Luther in the 16th century too. Inspiration for candles appears during walk. Martin Luther one December evening noticed brillinace of stars twinkling between evergreens.

Only a few know that the most 19th century Americans treated holiday trees as oddity. One of the first record about Christmas tree in that region come from 1830s and say about settlers from German as a owners of holiday tree. Somebody hold that the German settlers had Christmas trees even in 1747. However, in the 1840s Christmas trees were seen as pagan symbols and they were not accepted by majority of residents of America.
The history of Christmas carols
The definition of „carol” actually means dance or a song of joy and praise. Initially carols were pagan songs those were sung during celebration of Winter Solstice when members of event danced round stone circles. Early Christians inspired pagan customs and prepared songs for Christian. In 129 the song „Angel’s Hymn” was popular and sung at a Christmas celebrations in Italy. Other Christmas hymn was written in 760 for the Greek Orthodox Church. Then many composers all over the Europe started writting carols. But majority of carols was sung in Latin and that’s why many Christians had lost interest those things.
